Progress Of The Alleged Theft Case

On thursday night, the guest called in and asked for the status of the watch. It was a good sign because there had not been any updates from anyone after the incident broke out. Some people think that no news means good news. Well, in this scenario, I feel that it would have been bad news because it could also be a bad omen. You see, it actually made things even way scarier when no follow-up actions were taken.

Over the phone, I could feel that the conversation between my OM and the guest was quite tense. I was actually told that the guest was quite nasty from the way when she conversed with him. Apparently, my OM promised to provide an answer to the guest earliest by next week. In that case, I knew I needed to take some action. Miss Lim, our big boss, came down personally and reminded me that I had to locate the item no matter what. She wanted me to calm down and re-enact the whole situation on that day as she strongly believed that the item must have been misplaced somewhere.

In the end, I handed over my work over to my OM and spent the whole night in the room, till about 1:30am, in hopes that I would stumble upon it somewhere in the room. Though I knew the search might be futile, but it was always a good thing to allow my boss to feel my strong desire to recover the watch.

The next day, the seventh day of the incident, I was summoned back to the security post upon reaching the office. This time round, the security head wanted me to identify the watch (the details such as the color of its straps and rims). On his computer screen were thumbnails of different Bvlgari watches under the Google search. Well, I told him what I could remember, like the black strap and black rims and that the content on the watch display was actually an analogue....etc

When I was released, I felt so much lighter when my admin staff showed me instances of watch which I did not to hand over to the security. Look, it proved that I was not brand conscious and that the absence of knowledge that the watches were considered a valuable.. At the end of the day, I was told that the guest have been informed of the negative search and that he would be paid the compensation in terms of the value of the watch which he claimed to be.. Apparently. we need to wait for the response from the guest ..
