SIGNIFICANCE OF A SUNRISE
Every darkness will follow by a sunrise. When the sun emerges, it takes the earth out of the darkness, evil and sadness. Sunshine in one's life depicts the heralding of a new day, a new hope and a new start. In another words, every period of darkness will be followed by a sunrise, which will bring a solution and a time to celebrate a new beginning of our lives.
Sadly, count your fingers and tell me how many sunrises have we seen in our lifetimes?
Maybe you could tell me that - oh I ALWAYS wake up before sunrise everyday! However, have you ever found yourself waking up early at 6am just to gain the vantage point by the beach and watch the whole procession of a sunrise?
No?
The rising of our sun is one of the most beautiful moments to behold, yet it is something that everyone does not get to watch every single day. Unfortunately, we, the city dwellers, are so caught up with our day-to-day lives to the point that we have forgotten to acknowledge the beauty of our mother nature!
As a nocturnal creature, it is like to chance of a million that my heart would ever set up such an anticipation to admire sunrise alone. Hence, I told myself that THIS TIME ROUND I was going to capture that enchanting moment with my SONY semi-professional camera. At 6:00am, I took a 20 minutes' stroll from my estate to Pasir Ris Beach.
Throughout the journey, my mind was filled with many wild thoughts. As you guys should already have known that darkness is the period we would normally harbor negative thoughts.. I was thinking about my shaking friendship with certain people, my daunting future and many other things. On the other hand, I was thinking how many more sunrises I would be able to witness after this one..
I have this burning desire to spend some family time by the beach.. But we are so busy with our commitment and that even we were to make plans to spend some time (jogging every week) it would end up not working well.
Time will pass very fast, and soon my family and I are bound to go a separate ways. Every single child in my household will get married and move out of this house in a few more years. If I ever let go the opportunity to hang out with my family more often, I will soon find myself REGRET and then everything will be too late. Random thoughts flowed into my mind incessantly - and before I even taught about other stuff, I was already setting foot on the sandy beach.
AWAITING THE BREAKING OF THE DAWN. The wind was insanely chilling at the beach.As the cool wind brushed across my body, my mind had instantly cooled down as I took every step along the coast. I must have arrived too early, the surrounding could only be seen with a minimum visibility. The only few things my eyes could capture were the silhouette of swaying palm trees and bushes!
At 6.15 am, the darkness had completely engulfed the picturesque of the scenery!
At 6:39am, the darkness had begun to give ways to sunlight. The sea had become more visible and all kinds of birds had started to chirp merrily to welcome the breaking of dawn.
At 6:54am, the line where the seas met the land had become much more visible..
Finally, it was 7:00 am. Don't mistaken my intention of visiting the beach. Even though I was not able to witness the golden sky, it didn't give me any excuses not to come back anymore. One day I will be able to capture the beautiful sunrise and post it on my blog.
Take your hands of your loved ones and set your foot on this wonderful beach to witness the process of sunrise. Let us end this post with a 'sunshiney' song.
